Qld Tour Day 5 - Surfers Paradise & Annerley (Brisbane)

Out of the hotel by about 9:30 we then went off to find somewhere for breakfast. Many a sore head was being nursed and after breakfast and a bit of shopping and taking a picture of a couple of old guys without their knowledge we headed off to our next destination. 

It took us about an hour to get to Annerley and when we checked in to our hotel we were quite surprised to find 1 of the nicest hotels we'd seen on the whole tour. The lady there was extremely nice to us considering we were a fairly gruesome looking bunch!! We loaded our gear into the gig, which luckily enough was just down the road from the hotel. Then it was back to the hotel for a bbq and some beers. The highlight of the day being when Sway from Switchblade entertained us all with his honey drinking antics!! You see Sway's voice was a wee bit strained and Kent told him that drinking honey straight from the jar was really good for your vocal chords. So Sway asks the lady at the hotel for some honey so she gives him a jar and he proceeds to down half the jar in 1 gulp!! (Not quite half bro, see pics –Chris) Pretty funny stuff I must say! It was almost too difficult to bother going to the gig but we did eventually make it there.
